Anyway, I came across Lemonint Strawberry lemonade today at Berkeley Bowl. My initial feeling when I saw it was, it looks a bit dark like a tea than "normal" strawberry lemonade. But I was interested in the "mint infused" part, so I give it a try.
Overall, it tastes like a super sweet mint drink with a trace of lemon and strawberry taste. While I like that the mint flavor is refreshing, the sweetness has made the drink very cloying. And the fact that it lacks any lemonade feel (lemony and acidic) and there is little to none strawberry taste to it, it's a big disappointment to me.
What I love about this drink:
- Use real ingredients like organic mint leave and strawberry puree
- Limited ingredients
- Fresh mint flavors that does not taste like chewing gum or toothpaste
What I don't love about this drink:
- 44g of sugar per 16 oz bottle (Coke has 39 g of sugar per 12 oz, which translate to 52g of suger per 16 oz)
- The taste
Cheers!
